Grow your own with Suttons seeds in 2025

Every year, the Suttons’ horticultural team works hard to develop new, exciting and innovative vegetable seeds that deliver flavour, while resisting pests and disease.

Their range of new vegetable seeds for 2025 contains many varieties especially designed for small space or container gardening. Whether it’s a few pots on a balcony, a couple of patio containers or a windowbox, why not see how much you can grow?!

Prize bundle contains:

Tomato ‘Toddler’ F1 seeds

Tomato ‘Toddler’ F1 is an easy to grow, and quick to mature, bite-sized tomato. Because of its sweetness, you may want to eat it straight from the vine! This brand-new variety produces an abundance of tiny, delicious cherry tomatoes. Ideal for lunchboxes, summer salads or to add pops of colour and taste on a vegetable kebab.

Cucumber ‘Quick Snack’ F1 seeds

A fast growing cucumnber. ‘Quick Snack’ F1 is a compact plant that thrives in containers. Bred to give bumper crops of snack-sized, crunchy fruits.

Pea ‘Half Pint’ seeds

Pea ‘Half Pint’ is a dwarf pea that produces a good crop of tender pods. Because of its compact size, it is ideal for patio, balcony and small space growing.

Radish ‘Saxa 2’ seeds

From sowing to harvest takes just a few weeks. Radish ‘Saxa 2’ produces crisp and peppery roots . This is a reliable heirloom variety and it grows well throughout the year. Sow little and often to ensure a regular supply of radishes that add a pop of colour to your plate.

Cauliflower ‘Fioretto 75’ seeds

Although cauliflower usually forms one large head, Cauliflower ‘Fioretto 75’ is different. It produces lots of tender stems with sweet, nutty florets, so there are no tough stalks! This variety has excellent taste and texture and therefore is perfect for stir-fries, roasting, or slicing raw into salads.

Sweet Pepper ‘Hamik’ seeds

Sweet Pepper ‘Hamik’ is a dwarf plant that produces lots of vibrant, orange, snack-sized sweet peppers. The peppers contain very few seeds and have a crisp bite, which makes them ideal for salads or roasting. Grow your own supply of these peppers on a sunny patio or balcony.

Squash ‘Celebration’ F1 seeds

Squash ‘Celebration’ F1 is a stunning, striped variety that is packed with sweet, nutty flavour. It grows compact vines, thus making it ideal small gardens or where space is restricted. It produces high yields of attractive, tasty fruits.

Basil ‘Everleaf Emerald Towers’ seeds

Basil ‘Everleaf Emerald Towers’ is slow to bolt. It stays productive for longer, offering fresh leaves until heavy frosts in autumn. This variety is ideal for smaller spaces due to its upright habit.

Items in this Giveaway of a Veg Seed Starter Kit include 8 packets of Suttons seeds, pots, trays and a bag of compost.

Wool Compost for Seeds

To help give the seedlings a great start, you’ll receive a bag of this sustainable, peat-free wool compost. Made from British sheep’s wool, it retains moisture, while providing essential nutrients for strong, healthy growth. As with all peat-free composts, be careful not to over-water. Check below the surface of the compost in pots and trays to see whether it needs watering. Often the top looks dry, but at root level, the compost is still moist.

Shuttle Trays and Pots

To make sowing and growing easy, there are three durable, shuttle trays and pots. This set includes 54 reusable pots. Because they are designed for quick and easy handling, they’re perfect for starting seeds or potting up young plants. Additionally, they make the important hardening-off process a breeze. Use them year after year and because they are made of recyclable plastic, they can go to the recycling centre.

  1. I’d love to enter the Sutton Give a-way offer. The floret forming Cauli sounds like a very interesting plant to try and I’ve not seen the wool based seed compost, there are some poor composts around so this is an excellent environmentally friendly good addition to the market

    1. I thought the same thing about the Cauli seeds. Last year I left a standard cauli to go to seed (accidentally) and it formed interesting florets. I imagine a plant intended to be like that would have an even better flavour!
